2.How to clean iphone charging port with toothbrush?

Are you having trouble charging your iPhone or ipad? If dust or debris gets stuck in the charging port, your iPhone might not charge. This article will teach you a safe and effective way to clean the iPhone charging port with a toothbrush.

Steps

  • Check the charging port
  1. Remove the phone case. If you are using a phone case, remove the phone case.

Depending on the situation, you can remove it using several methods. A common technique is to start by peeling off one corner of the case so you can grab that part of the phone. After holding the phone, proceed to remove the other corners of the case.

  1. Shine a flashlightthe charging port with a flashlight. To get a clear view of all potential debris, we recommend shining a flashlight on the charging port. If you see any signs of debris, dirt, or dust, follow our next method to learn some cleaning tips and tricks!

If you don’t have a flashlight handy, ask someone with a smartphone if they can use their built-in flashlight.

  • Clean the charging port
  1. Turn off the phone. To do this on an iPhone X, 11, 12, or 13, press and hold the power button and one of the volume buttons at the same time. For any generation below the iPhone X, just press and hold the power button. You should now see a new screen pop up on your phone. Tap and hold the white circle, then slide your finger to the right to slide the Slide to Power Off button at the top of the screen.

While it’s not absolutely necessary to turn off the phone, we recommend that you do so to avoid accidental manipulation of the phone while cleaning the charging port.

  1. Get an anti-static or brand new toothbrush. Use an anti-static toothbrush to minimize static electricity while brushing, making your iPhone safer to use. Or, if you don’t have access, you can use a brand new clean toothbrush.
  2. Gently brush off any debris. Using the toothbrush head, carefully brush the bristles along the charging port to remove any debris. If you observe any particles further inside the charging port, use the tip/corner of the bristles to get inside. We recommend using the scooping action to completely clean the port.

Make sure not to get the toothbrush wet. This could cause unnecessary water damage to your iPhone.

  1. Try charging your phone. After you’ve removed all debris, turn your phone on the same way you turned it off. Plug the charger into the port and see if your phone is charging. If your phone still won’t charge, we’ve got some extra cleaning tips for you.
  • Remove hard-to-get debris
  1. Use a toothpick to be more precise. Carefully insert a toothpick into the port and guide it gently along the inner wall. Remove it after a lap and look for debris. If so, wipe off the toothpick with a paper towel or cloth and repeat the process until it comes out clean.
  2. Use compressed air. A can of compressed air may help remove dust. Make sure the can is upright and a few inches away from the charging port. You can now blast a few short bursts of air into the port. As before, you should power on and plug in your phone to see if it works.

3.How to make an electric toothbrush quiet?

Upgrading to an electric toothbrush is the obvious choice for a number of reasons. However, I found mine to be really noisy and realized there must be a way to quiet the electric toothbrush.

The easiest way to make an electric toothbrush quiet is to upgrade to a sonic toothbrush, since they vibrate faster and therefore make less noise. Another way is to wrap the toothbrush in a towel or hand towel to muffle the sound.

Why are electric toothbrushes so noisy?

This might not surprise you, but electric toothbrushes really aren’t that complicated when it comes to the technology inside. When disassembled, a motor, a cam, a gear, electrical circuits, rechargeable batteries and head attachments were found inside the case.

The cams, gears and motors are apparently what makes the head spin or vibrate, which is called its oscillation. A standard electric toothbrush vibrates about 26 times per second. Most of the noise from an electric toothbrush comes from the head, as this is essentially the main moving part.

The head is where the motion of the toothbrush motor is converted into the back-and-forth or rotational energy needed to clean the teeth. The components inside the toothbrush, such as the motor and gears, are actually quite quiet compared to the toothbrush head.

So the head is probably the cause and source of most of the noise you’re trying to remove. I always recommend getting the correct brush head for your toothbrush, as cheap or incorrect brands won’t fit, which can cause them to be much louder than usual.

Likewise, you should replace your toothbrush head every 3-4 months. Not only for obvious hygienic reasons, but also because the components inside the head will start to wear out, which will again increase the noise the toothbrush makes.

It’s also worth making sure your toothbrush always has enough power, whether it’s rechargeable or using a disposable battery (obviously the first option is preferable). A low-battery electric toothbrush will make more noise than a fully-charged toothbrush.

However, if you have a rechargeable toothbrush, don’t charge it all the time. Almost all electric toothbrushes use the same lithium-ion technology as cell phones, so if you’re constantly connected to a power source, you lose the ability to keep them charged.

So, the first piece of advice on how to keep your electric toothbrush quiet is to keep it in good shape and keep it fully charged at all times. Treat it like any other electrical device and take care of it, and you’ll have a better performing device.

How to make your electric toothbrush quieter

I struggled with a loud electric toothbrush for a long time. This is a particular problem for me because I have to get up early and don’t want to wake everyone in the house. It’s probably the same thing for you and what brought you here.

  1. Identify the source of the noise

As I mentioned above, the head of an electric toothbrush is likely the source of the noise. Take a look at your toothbrush first to make sure the head is securely attached and in good condition. If it’s firmly attached to the body, it shouldn’t move at all.

Again, make sure you only use the correct brush head for your electric toothbrush. If you’re using a major brand like Sonicare, you’ll have plenty of options to choose from, but they should always be from the right brand.

Cheaper alternatives will never fit and are made of much lower quality materials. Not only do they not clean your teeth, but they are more prone to noise.

In fact, the body of an electric toothbrush shouldn’t make much noise. But if there is, there’s not much you can do about it anyway. This may indicate that your toothbrush is old or possibly damaged, so my best advice is to upgrade to a new one.

If you have an electric toothbrush with a removable battery, this could be the source of the noise. If the toothbrush is not firm enough, its vibration can cause it to rattle. Open the battery case, make sure the contact points are visible enough, then make sure the cover is screwed on.

  1. Wrap something around your electric toothbrush

The cheapest and quickest way to quiet your electric toothbrush is to simply wrap something around it. This will make an amazing difference and will dampen vibrations well. I use this as a short-term fix before fixing the problem with a new toothbrush.

You can use just about anything, but as with all soundproofing solutions, the denser the material, the louder you will be. Some of the best options include towels or hand towels, t-shirts or sweaters or blankets. Obviously, a lot depends on what you have on hand at the time.

While this is obviously an easy thing to do, here are a few things to consider when trying to wrap your toothbrush in fabric:

Do not make any fabric casing permanent. Not only would this cause problems trying to fit a rechargeable electric toothbrush into a toothbrush holder, but it would also be an amazing breeding ground for germs and bacteria.

Again, make sure any piece of fabric you use is clean as it will be near your mouth.

Try wrapping it around the connection point between the head and the body. This is the main source of noise, and the loudest you can really put a cloth on your toothbrush.

  1. Upgrade to a quieter sonic toothbrush

Probably the most effective way to make your electric toothbrush quiet is to upgrade to a better model. I know this may not be an option for everyone, but it’s not hard to justify spending more on a toothbrush. After all, your teeth will stay with you for the rest of your life.

Although a sonic toothbrush is an electric toothbrush, there are definitely differences between the two in the market. Electric toothbrushes are usually models with removable batteries, which are usually cheaper and have a much lower vibration rate.

Sonic toothbrushes are a leap forward in tooth cleaning technology. They vibrate much faster than regular electric toothbrushes. In fact, they wiggle 260 times per second, or about 31,000 strokes per minute!

Sonic toothbrushes are generally much quieter than regular electric toothbrushes because they vibrate at a much higher frequency, about 10 times higher in fact. So not only are they better at cleaning teeth, but they’re also quieter overall.

However, it’s worth remembering that sonic toothbrushes are also significantly more expensive than regular electric toothbrushes. I decided to accept the cost and upgrade, if only because they were quieter. I found it definitely worth switching so I would recommend it if possible.
